An efficient filing system begins with labeling. The Dental Record provides color-coding labels that help you organize and simplify even the largest record filing system. These labels are from Jeter Systems, the best and most popular provider of color-coding labels in the industry. The labels come in bright, fade-resistant colors for fast recognition.
We also sell Jeter Label systems that are compatible with Sycom and Colwell labeling systems.
Always create name labels with the last name capitalized. The given name should be separated and in lower case letters. No punctuation is required.
Color-Coding Dates Can Add Efficiency
Codes are available in a month, year, or month/year combination to indicate the date the patient was last seen. When inactive files are retired, date codes make the process easier, faster and more accurate.
Color-Coded Labels Allow Further Classification And Faster Identification
Jeter offers color-coding labels in solid colors for certain classifications or types of file folders, like blue for insurance, red for medical alert, or yellow for allergies. Or different doctors can use different color codes. These labels are also available with permanent adhesives.
Alphabetic Systems
The best way to file is by a person's name. Typically, the 1st and 2nd letters of the last name are color-coded using our bright, permanent color-coding labels. This breaks large files down into easy-to-manage units, because only a few records within the file will carry the same color-codes. As a result, you'll find every folder fast and easy. Once you are at the location that holds the B-A color-coding, your search group is minimized to only a few records and when a B-A file, with the name Baker, for instance, is returned to its correct section, it will match other B-A records in the system. Refiling errors are minimized because a mismatch stands out visually. This cuts time and maximizes your refiling accuracy.
In alphabetic systems, the name is printed on a white Jeter name label located on both sides of the folder. A clear mylar protection label is applied over the white label to keep it clean for the life of the folder.Available Products
